SCIENCE AND MEDICINE AGREE THAT LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION. HOWEVER, NOT ALL SCIENTISTS AND DOCTORS ARE WILLING TO CONFESS THAT LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION.

Such equivocation by scientist and doctors is moral or philosophical, and not based on science. For, from conception, the new being is, in fact, a living organism and, without dispute, has its own genetic code--being distinct from both its father and its mother.

A GREAT DECLARATION

Our Declaration of Independence says boldly:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty,
and the Pursuit of Happiness--That to secure these Rights, Governments are
instituted among Men…"

This bold declaration says plainly that man's Creator--not the government--gives to each man an unalienable right to life.

It would be foolish of me, and morally corrupt, to stand in my campaign claiming to be for liberty and for man's pursuit of happiness while taking any other stand than to be for life.

CONCURRING WITH THOMAS JEFFERSON

I agree with Thomas Jefferson. It is "sinful and tyrannical" to "compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors." Therefore, I will do all within my powers to assure that no state funds are granted to agencies or organizations that promote or engage in the practice of abortion.

THE MEASURE OF OUR LOVE OF LIBERTY

Surely, the measure of our love of liberty is most manifest in how we, as a people, care for the most vulnerable in our midst.
